Installing WriterBoard Author
Windows Installation
Download the latest WriterBoard installer from your account.
Double-click the installer.
If Windows Defender SmartScreen displays:
"Windows protected your PC"
Click More info.
Click Run anyway.
Continue with the installation.
Once installed, launch WriterBoard normally.
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may display this warning because the Windows version is not yet digitally signed. This is expected for software distributed directly from our website.
MacOS Installation
Download the WriterBoard .dmg file.
Open the DMG.
Drag WriterBoard into the Applications folder.
Launch WriterBoard from your Applications folder.
That's it! The macOS version is signed and should launch normally without any additional steps.
Keeping up to date
WriterBoard includes an automatic update system that will notify you whenever a new version is available.
We recommend installing updates to receive the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes.
